Explanation
LRB is a form of compressed lead inserted into the interior of the elastomeric bearing. The lead yields to the seismic load, to increase the natural period of the structure, decreasing the load and absorbing vibration energy of the bridge slab with non-linear response of the lead, preventing the slab from vibrating.
CSD is a type of bearing that can embrace constantly ordinary load transfer, rotation, and displacement of a structure along radially installed C-shape dampers. When an earthquake strikes, the C-shape dampers act as non-linear plastic to disperse the seismic energy, control displacement, and distribute the remaining vertical load along the bridge pier.
ESD is a type of bearing that can embrace constantly ordinary load transfer, rotation, and displacement of a structure along radially installed E-shape dampers. When an earthquake strikes, the E-shape dampers act as non-linear plastic to disperse seismic energy, control displacement, and distribute remaining vertical load along the bridge pier.
HDRB has the same shape as elastomeric bearings, but HDRB added a special mixture that can absorb vibration energy in rubber mixing can absorb the seismic energy by combining friction and viscous dissipation elements between molecules.
The frictional surface is in a spherical shape, so that the bearings can make pendulum movements and extend the period of structures to disperse the seismic load, with restoring force generated by gravity. The pendulum is restored naturally along the spherical surface of the bearing, requiring no additional maintenance and repair after anearthquake.
EDD consists of a combination of disc bearing designed to provide seismic isolation between superstructure and substructure and mass energy regulator that provides structural stability by resisting horizontal load which is applied during the earthquake with compressive deformation
