    Beam Type

    The beam-type Channel Damper utilize the bending of beams during earthquake; the stiff arm of beams rotate, generating tension/compression along the SMCB damper and absorbing energy.

    Brace Type

    The brace-type Channel Damper confines structural distortions with braces. Compression and tension apply to braces on either sides of the Channel Damper, and if dampers are utilized in place of the braces, the dampers expand to absorb the seismic energy, making a perfect Aseismatic Structure.
